Dover Environment Score: Air Quality, Green Spaces, Parks & Noise Levels
Global Environment Score
Dover is exceptionally fortunate to have access to vast natural environments, including the protected White Cliffs and numerous coastal paths. The preservation of these green spaces is a priority for the local council, which balances urban development with the protection of the fragile seaside ecosystem. Air quality is generally high due to the constant sea breeze, although traffic near the port can occasionally affect localized areas. Efforts are ongoing to integrate more urban greenery into the town center and residential districts to improve aesthetics and biodiversity. The environment offers residents a genuine connection to nature that is hard to replicate in more industrialized inland locations.
